Getting my Osaka on

Osaka is the sister city of Melbourne and my 1st stop in Japan. I believed that Melbourne's sister will be kind and gentle in popping my Japan Cherry.
Random connections meant that I had a guide and futon waiting for me upon arrival. I got introduced to True Blue Melbourne Tom by my previous Euro-adventure partner in crime the lovely Claire Bear, they met on a 20 hour train ride through South East Asia.
However there were still a few hiccups from touch down to Tom.
NOTE: to exit Japan airports you have to have the exact address of where you're going to stay.
After that incident lady luck was on my side. Some Aussies were on my train who knew where they were going which happened to be where I was headed. So together we rode to Namba Osaka.
Namba is one of the 2 main districts in Osaka. Upon arrival you realise that there are 20 possible exits that can spit you out anywhere. Tom's directions were to find exit 1, which was a mission impossible. Not even the girl working at the portable KFC cart knew where this supposed Exit 1 is located. I finally emerged out of the subway and saw no signs... and that's when I met my Osaka Hero!
A hipster boy with a bow haircut and thick black specs.
He delivered me right to my Osaka guide Tom. I thanked him excessively and was sorry to say goodbye...
Super gaijin Tom had just finished his shift at 'True Blue' Aussie bar/restaurant so we headed out to a 500Y bar together with some of his fellow Aussie work mates. A laid back first night in town.
