After a few hours of shut eye I rubbed the crust off and climbed out of bed determined to hit up my very first shopping excursion. The mission is to journey to the massive 'Garage Sale'/flea market at the Banpaku park.

Originally Tom's buddy Eddie agreed to be my chaperon for the day and show me the way of the Osaka subway, but after the dancefloor shinanigans from the previous evening he wasn't willing to jump out of his bed for 100Y t-shirts. So I called Valentina an Italian couchsurfer to be my shopping buddy and she was happy to meet me there. The challenge was on to find my way through subway and monorail to the park.
I was nearly as scared of the subway as Pan-Kun.
I managed to get there after many 'Summimasen's and asking of directions and ticketing. The park itself was built for a major convention in the 70's. There's an amusement park attached that was not operational as a fatal accident occurred there a few weeks ago.
The 'Garage Sale' was very aptly named. It was mostly youngsters hanging out selling their old clothes. Most things going for 100Y was the draw card for me. I filled up a whole SAVERs sac that I brought over especially for such occasion.

Valentina met up with me and we walked through the market talking of Osaka, Japan, travels, life and love. The rest of the park was also quite sweet with a little lake with then cycle boats, but unfortunately we were too late to ride one.

I love my 100Y cape/riding hood
We eventually made our way back to Namba and met up with Tom and Eddie for dinner to El Poncho the cosiest Mexican restaurant in Osaka.
